Paykan Considering to Recruit Russian Volleyball Players

TEHRAN The officials of Paykan volleyball team intends to employ some foreign players to grab the championship title in the next competitions of Iranian clubs, said a Paykan coach.

Hossein Hosseini told IRNA, "The club's officials are to make a trip to Moscow in the near future to select some Russian players."

Since Behnam Mahmoudi and Saeid Rezaei are to join an Italian club and Kayvan Mojarradi and Behrouz Ataei are to be transferred to Persepolis team and also the two teams of Paykan and Isfahan-based Zob-e Ahan have negotiated transfer of Payman Akbari to the Isfahani team, Paykan will miss its key and experienced players, justified Hosseini.

He continued that the officials of Paykan paid a visit to the Netherlands some weeks ago to replace the said players but due to our delayed measure the Dutch players had been purchased by Argentinean teams.

Up to now, Afshin Alizadeh of the Tehrani team HOMA has officially signed contract with Paykan, revealed the official concluding, "The group of Paykan's coaches in comparison with the last season has remained unchanged."
